2km swim / 80km bike / 20km run
Its one hard tri, in the middle of the Australian summer in the west of Queensland in Hell!

I did a PB on my local Tri club this week end but my run is getting worse. I really didn't think it was possible but it is I seem to be getting slower and slower each week even thou my swim and my bike are getting better and better! Grr after my Tri and getting home my little family headed to the beach for the day. I really love where I live

We live at the creek we spend all Saturday and Sunday there one side is for families and has a nice shallow part for the young children to swim in. Over the other side of the creek, which you can walk around too is a Off the lead area for dogs. and is where we spend our Saturday and Sunday afternoons at the creek with the dogs. This is when I run from home to the beach with the Dogs and OH and Little Miss drive (we do that because the dogs are too stuffed to run home with me again after a 4km run and swimming at the creek for about 2hrs.
This is also where I train for my open water swimming.

| The Distance across the creek is about 150mtrs but you can get a good 500mtrs swimming up the middle. |

ReplyDeleteI am a little (ok alot) jealous, it just got cold here and I wont be seeing the beach anytime soon.
Im in awe of your racing Hell of the West. Its nearly a half ironman but in the desert!!! Good on you, I can't wait to read the training blog :)

ReplyDeleteRe: the mp3 player... they were allowed in Shepp. That's what gave me the idea, other people had them!
No idea what's allowed for the Gatorade races, probably not, so I won't do it. At least for the first one.
It's a shorter race anyway :)
