Yep i have put my name down for my first Tri - I have been putting it off because i was scared i was not fit enough . I still might not be (I am very competitive don't judge) but i am going to it so on the 18th April will be competing in a small Tri here on the gold coast 300/10/2.5km
On other news run completed last night and today was swimming at lunch plus tonight is 3hrs of hockey Training/ coaching so i am about to have a protein shake to get me through till 9.30pm tonight when i get home to steak n eggs (Don't judge OH is cooking and thats all i care about). So my protein is going to be sky high but it will work out.
Ok have to email OH shopping list so sorry that its short and sweet (nothing like me !! ) LOL

Ahhhhhhh, you know, now that you signed up, your no longer working out, your training!!!!
ReplyDeleteIs the bike a 10k or 10 miles?
Signing up in my opinion for the first one is the hardest thing to do out of the whole experience, its trying to gain the courage to believe you can do this. The rest is easier.
Also, the race is the reward, always remember this. The training is the hard part, the day in and out of the grind, squeezing it all in, the ups and downs of training sessions, race day is all about execution of all your training.
Your already have the athletic mind set because of all your hockey experience, this will help you out.
I am excited for you, I have a soft spot for people going after their first race, you probably already notice that from my blog and I am also the Newbie Coordinator at my Tri Club (which I dont like my tri club, its the joy of working with the newbies that keep me coming back). I know you can do this, I truely believe it, I am looking foward to following your journey.
If you have any questions, I am more then willing to help out best I can.
Here is a little bit of motivation, come April 18th, you will be known as "Trace, the Triathlete" kinda has a nice ring to it, doesnt it.
I think BDD has said it all :) But well done on entering!!!
ReplyDeleteI came third last on Sunday, but you know what? I still did it. I can only get better.
Well done!!
Well done for entering the Tri! I can't wait to hear all about it. :o)
ReplyDeleteI emailed you back, just wondering if you got it
