sick - but on the mend

I have been sick this week, along with the rest of my little family. I had a boot camp this morning that I can't not go too and swimming at lunch today, starting to feel a little sorry for myself but at least i am on the mend.
Little Miss is still barking(coughing) like a dog and OH is now my second child (OMG he is windging worse then LM), But like i said we are on the mend.

Weekend -(before sicken hit the homestead)
Saturday Morning starting will a very early/chilly 95km bike ride, the biggest single ride to date for me. I could tell half way though the ride that i was not 100% but a marched on with everything i had and loved it.
Saturday afternoon was Hockey and i can stay that it was my worst game in goals this year, i sucked. the score ended up being 2 all but we (as a team) and I can play so much better then we/I did.
Saturday Night was my dear friend from perth's enagagment party at His parents house on the coast, OH and little Miss where feeling a little too sick to go so i went off on my own to say hi and to meet the lovely lady that had stolen my friend heart. I had a great night and the best time, i have not laugh that hard in a very long time, everyone from school was there and no one had there partners there (which was weird but everyone was getting sick and we all have kids expect the engaged couple). So it was all about walking down memory lane with everyone from school and we had a great night. I didn't drink as I was driving and was not feeling the best. I ended up getting home at about 2am and jumping into bed.

Sunday Morning 5am and little miss is up and all she wants is me her mummy. Well i felt like death, my throat felt like it had razer blazes in it and i had the cold shivers bad. I manage to get little miss infront of the TV and get her breakfast. but that was it, I was on the lounge with every blanket i could find. OH woke up happy and wanting to go out for the day. As it was a planned family day I had to get up, showered and then hit the road to Byron Bay for the day. Byron is not what it used to be and I have to say I am not a fan anymore, too many tourists, (including us) so we packup and left for Brunwick Heads for our family picnic. Which was much nicer cleaner and alot less ppl.
After some great food, rest and family time we were all feeling better and headed home. Sunday night was Hockey for me as i was felling alive again i thought i would go and play. It was the first team and the coach had called around and got some new players. Which there ended up being 16 players. (only 11 on the field at once) as i was not well, i was ok if i sat on the bench most of the game. but that was not to be, he might have got good new players but they where all unfit and i ended up playing all but 15mins of the 70min game. after the game i went home for a hot shower and bed, Monday i was so sick but i headed into work as my boss has gone to the US for 2 weeks and we have one of the US bosses here
in OZ. I ended up leaving work early going home cooking dinner and put everyone including my self to bed at 8pm.
Today i am on the mend (like i said) and have training tonight. whcih i am looking forward too.

  1. Sorry to hear you are all unwell, but glad you are on the mend. Slow cookers are wonderful. Mine is currently in storage but I am thinking of getting it out and using it now that winter is upon us.
Enjoy training tonight and I hope you are better tomorrow.
